Micronic Mydata launches a new display mask writer offering outstanding performance

The Prexision-80 display mask writer is offering substantial improvement in image quality, which improves production efficiency for mask makers and enables manufacturing of future display products. The Prexision-80 will replace the Prexision-8 as the most advanced mask writer.

The Prexision-80 is based on the field proven Prexision platform and provides a number of new technical features to facilitate higher performance. The machine is developed to enable a cost-effective production of the most advanced photomasks.

“Mask makers as well as display makers are increasingly challenged to produce the most advanced products. With a continued trend towards higher resolution displays, mask complexity will continue to evolve and a new mask writer is therefore required,” says Magnus Råberg, Sr VP and General Manager PG, of Micronic Mydata AB and adds: “The new features offered by the Prexision-80 translate into higher yield and easier production planning at the mask maker and higher yield at the display maker.”

The Prexision-80 is available for delivery during the second half of 2014.
